About me:
Living in West Michigan means valuing family, continuous learning, and good old-fashioned hard work. Those are values that guide my life every single day.
For 21 years, I’ve worked in office furniture manufacturing, a cornerstone local industry where you learn the true meaning of quality, teamwork, and honest effort. That very same year, I made the best decision of my life and got married. My wife and I have been happily married for 21 years now, and we are the proud parents of two incredible young adults: our 20-year-old son and our daughter, who turns 19 in just a few days!
Growing up, my family moved around a lot. While that taught me how to adapt quickly, it also gave me a deep desire to find a place where I could put down real roots. Hudsonville has been our family’s home for the past 12 years, and I can say without hesitation that District 85 is exactly where we belong.
When I’m not working or out talking with neighbors, my wife and I love to travel and explore new places. I’ve always been a curious person who loves learning new skills and diving into new topics. In my free time, you can usually find me unwinding with video games or getting outdoors to hunt and fish, though I’ll be completely honest with you, I’m not particularly good at either one! The wildlife is entirely safe around me, but I sure enjoy trying.
I am running to represent Jenison, Hudsonville, and Zeeland in the Michigan State House because I am not a career politician. I’m a working husband, father, and neighbor who understands the everyday balance of family, budgets, and hard work, and I’m ready to bring practical, down-to-earth common sense to Lansing.
